Words of wisdom from Mother Theresa:
“Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love but to use violence to get what they want. This is why the greatest destroyer of love and peace is abortion.”
“We must not be surprised when we hear of murders, of killings, of wars, of hatred. If a mother can kill her own child, what is left but for us to kill each other.”
Abortion is the foremost scourge on our society and it should be the primary concern when we vote for our leaders.

I was one of the women at the retreat at St. Paul’s Retreat Center last weekend. While becoming “unplugged” from daily life, I was plugged into the grace, spirituality and all-encompassing love of God throughout the whole weekend! I came away feeling changed in a deeply spiritual way. I became aware of the profound and forgiving love God has for me. I’m so grateful I took the time to commune with God and with all of the other women for a weekend of prayer and reflection. I can’t wait for next year’s retreat!

Unfortunately, God is not invited in the public schools. He is actually banned by the Supreme Court. So God on the field at a Mt. Lebanon football games would be against school policy – only “Devils” are permitted on the field please.
In all seriousness, these players sound like remarkable young men. (Too bad they aren’t playing for the Rebels. )
Fr. Dave, I have to applaud your efforts and support of Catholic education at St. Bernard’s – thank you!
