Rev. Mark Eckman
Father Mark was born and raised in Bethel Park, PA, the youngest son of Francis J. Eckman, Sr. and Clarissa Lyons Eckman. Father Mark has two sisters: Mary Haugen who lives in California and Peggy Mannella who lives in Bethel Park. Father Mark’s brother, Frank, died in 1991.
Father Mark’s home parish is Saint Valentine in Bethel Park where he attended grade school for 8 years. Father attended South Hills Catholic High School (SHC 77) then entered St. Paul Seminary while attending Duquesne University. Father Mark attended St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA. As a deacon, Father Mark was assigned to Sacred Heart Parish in Shadyside. Father Mark was ordained a priest on
May 11, 1985.
Father Mark served as a Parochial Vicar at: Resurrection, Brookline, St. Sebastian & Vincentian High School, Ross Twp., St. Valentine, Bethel Park, St. Winifred, Mt. Lebanon, St. John Vianney, Hilltop and as a chaplain and faculty member at
Seton-LaSalle High School.
Father Mark served as a Pastor at: St. Sylvester (1998-2009), St. Norbert (2004-2009), St. Thomas More (2009-2013). Father Mark is currently the Episcopal Vicar for Clergy Personnel.
