Father Jack Demnyan
Father Jack Demnyan is a member of Holy Rosary Parish in Muse, is the son of Natalie Demnyan and the late Sean Demnyan. He has two brothers, Jake and George. Father Demnyan attended St. Patrick School in Canonsburg, Muse Elementary School, Cecil Middle School and graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 2003.
In 2003, he was accepted into the priestly formation program to begin studies at St. Paul Seminary and Duquesne University as a college freshman. In October 2004, he withdrew from the formation program. Father Demnyan was employed at NCO Financial Systems while continuing his studies at California University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2009.
In fall 2009, he was reaccepted into the formation program at St. Paul Seminary and began studies at Duquesne University as a pre-theology student. He completed the two-year pre-theology program in May 2011. Father Demnyan was recommended for acceptance in fall 2011 at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore.
He participated in the seminarian program of the Institute for Priestly Formation at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, during summer 2012. Father Demnyan was assigned to St. Benedict the Abbot Parish in Peters Township for a summer pastoral experience in 2013.
Father Demnyan was ordained a deacon in June 2014 at St. Paul Cathedral by Bishop William Winter. He was appointed to Holy Trinity Parish, Robinson Township, for a summer 2014 diaconal assignment. In July 2015, he was assigned to St. Angela Merici Parish, White Oak, to begin a pastoral year.
Father Demnyan was ordained a priest on June 25, 2016 at St. Paul Cathedral by Bishop David Zubik and was assigned to St. Bernard Parish.
